Sensitivity Training toward Psychological Adjustment and Social Adjustment of Adolescents in Chiang Mai Province

Abstract
Adolescents were at high-risk periods in various dimensions of life, particularly in education and in relationships with others. Therefore, it was very importance to be encouraged and developed for adolescents to understand themselves and others by sensitivity training. The objectives of this research were; (1) to study the relationships between sensitivity, psychological adjustments, and social adjustment of students and (2) to study the effects of sensitivity training toward psychological adjustments and social adjustments of students. The samples for study in correlation consisted of 1,191 students, and the participants in the experiment were 41 students in the experimental group and 41 students in the control group. Analyses the data by mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, and T-test. The results of the research were as follows; 1) the relationship in all 3 variables were positive relationship statistically significant at the .01 level. 2) the experimental group had sensitivity, behavioral academic self-esteem, and social adjustment mean scores higher than the control group was statistically significant at the .01 level. Therefore, it is a matter of dissemination and further development of the sensitivity training package. And then brought to get training for personnel associated with the school, to help the people understood the students better.
