The Current Terrorist Threat to Major Cities

Abstract
This research aimed to study the current problem and threat to major cities especially the urban terrorism. This research was a qualitative research relying on documentary research. The results showed that 1) cities became major targets for terrorism 2) worldwide terrorist incidents, conflicts, and violence indicated the changing face of war to the new pattern of warfare and 3) recent global terrorist incidents signified the changing face of terrorism in various dimensions. The last part of the article provided recommendations to enhance security in the urban areas in Thailand.
