The Study Attributes of Capability to Critically Use Technological Creativity of the Upper Secondary School Students

Abstract
In the upper secondary school, students are only the technological user which means using it for entertainment rather than searching for knowledge. Therefore, students lack of ability to use technology to create knowledge creatively including a lack of discretion in using technology for searching for knowledge. The objective was to study attributes of capability to critically use technological creativity of the upper secondary school students by documentary research and in-depth interviews with the professors of educational technology and the teachers in the upper secondary school by using the purposive selection method. There were 10 key informants in total. Content analysis techniques on interpretation of analytic induction was used for analyzing data.The study indicated that the capability to critically use technological creativity of the upper secondary school students were 3 elements which consisted of; Element 1: the capability of thinking indicated that using technology for building knowledge, cogitating for use technology, and adapting knowledge. Element 2: the capability of practice indicated that working step by step, choosing technology appropriately, analyzing and synthesizing process for work, and working and sharing with other people. Element 3: the capability of developing personality indicated that observant and curios, attempt, listening to other opinions, respecting, and ethic in using technology. The results of the study can be used as a guide for learning management in order to enhance the capability about the use of critically technological creativity. Moreover, it can be used to develop tools for assessing the capability about the use of critically technological creativity of the upper secondary school students.
