Abstract

The objectives of this research were to investigate the meaning in life and to study the meaning in life of undergraduate students in Faculty of Education, Phanakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University. The instrument used in this research was The Multidimentional Life Meaning Scale : (MLMS) and semi-structured interview about meaning in life.
According to MLMS, the result has been revealed that three factors in meaning in life were personal efficacy, fulfillment, and self-transcendence.The reliability of the questionnaire, the personal efficacy, fulfillment and self-transcendence were .928, .89, .79 and .85 respectively.
Base on the semi-structured interview, It has been found that the meaning of life from experience was in high level and the participants in this study had clear target of their lives and were satisfied with their lives. They realized that the experience of lives was important and valued their lifestyles. They understood and accepted the different experiences and applied them as a guideline for their lifestyles in constantly changing society.
