Abstract

The research is entitled reinforement of postive thinking according to Buddhadhamma. The objectives of the research were to study reinforcement of positive thinking, the Buddhist principle in reinforcement of positive thinking, integration and presentation of reinforcement of positive thinking according to Buddhadhamma. The research is the documentary qualitative research by which a structure indepth interview collected from 10 key informants and 10 persons in focus group as a research methodology. A study based on the Tipitaka, commentaries and the relavent researches and other documents.


​The results were found that positive thinking is not a theory, only the method of thinking. It consists of 5 factors of thinking, namely; faith, endeaver, attention, determination and adversity. The context of Positive Thinking depens upon the situation and set a goal on the successfulness. Positive Thinking in Buddhism regardedas the Yonisomanasikara principles and 5 Balas (the five driving forces of thought) as a supporting and reinforcement thinking to be positive. There are four elements of Buddhist Positive Thinking based on truth,seeking truths, solving problems and creating utilitywhich are target on truth and utility. Buddhist positive thinking has to compose of right confidence, right effort, heedfulness in life, right concentration in Dhamma and prudence wisdom in the truth. It is synthesized as a new body of knowledge called “TISU Model”.
