Local Administration with Public Participation of Tha Kha Sub-District Administrative Organization, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: (1) to study the local administration with public participation of Tha Kha Sub-district Administrative Organization, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, and (2) to study the recommendations for the local administration with public participation of Tha Kha Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. The research was quantitative. The population consisted of people aged 18 years and over, living in Tha Kha Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. It was obtained by taking the population of people to determine the sample according to the Taro Yamane formula. A total of 374 people were sampled, the researcher was therefore given a total number of 390 people. Data were analyzed including frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.

          The results found that: (1) the local administration with public participation of Tha Kha Sub-district Administrative Organization, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province, in all 4 aspects consisted of decision making; management planning, benefit and in terms of monitoring and evaluation. It was found that the people participation in all four aspects was at a low level by monitoring and evaluating participation at a low level with the lowest average; and (2) the recommendations for the local administration with public participation of Tha Kha Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province should encourage people to have awareness of participating in the operations of Tha Kha Subdistrict Administrative Organization, mobile units should be organized to go to villages to listen to opinions as well as problems and needs of the people.
