STRENGTH PROMOTING OF CIVIC POLITICS IN NAKORN RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. To study condition civic politics in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. 2) To study process of promoting civic politics strength in Nakhon Ratchasima Province and  3) To propose the promotion civic politics strength in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The sample group consisted of 400 people with questionnaires and analyzed with frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. And qualitative research, data were collected from 17 key informants by in-depth-interviewing and from 13 participants in focus group discussion. Data were analyzed by descriptive interpretation.

            The results found that;

1. Civic politics conditions in Nakhon Ratchasima Province were: 1) Movement of complaints for the state to resolve the people’s problems, 2) Movement to investigate the process of exercising state power examination of state power exercise to protect and invoke self-right, liberty, and justice. 3) The people called for transfer state power and re-election 4) Critical cooperation and constructive engagement with state in process exercising the power of civil society that did not hinder public expression.


2. The process of civic politics strength promotion in Nakhon Ratchasima Province consisted of: 1) Election process, people participated in political activities, got involved in local political activities, created local conversions by electing politicians who had commitment to local development. 2) Participation in election campaigns for civic political groups by playing an important role in supporting people to participate in election activities, which is democratic expression. 3) Political decisions decision to elect political representatives based on policy principles of political groups, showed virtues that can create justice for community.


3. Promotion of civic politics strength in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, lead to following actions: 1) Holding meeting regularly, people participated in political activities, expressing their opinions by means of meetings. 2) In unison attend the meeting in unison from the beginning until the end of the meeting The meeting was coordinated continuously until it became a stable meeting. 3) Compliance with regulations, promoting political group members to comply with the resolution of the meeting. 4) Respecting elders; paying respect to the chairman of the meeting or activities conductors, 5) Non-abuse of one’s authority; exchanging opinions with open mind, listening to the others’ opinions. 6) Peace-loving; organizing political forum to make peace, considering everyone's opinions with neutrality. 7) Intention to support good people; building civic politics networks  to protect and retain good people and promote good people to play political roles.
