THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ENRICHMENT CURRICULUM ON IMAGINATIVE STORY WRITING ABILITY USING PLOT DIAGRAM AND FEEDBACK FOR GRADE 3 STUDENTS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The research's primary goals were to 1) build an indicator of curriculum development's promotion of creative writing ability and determine its effectiveness using plot diagrams and providing comments to Prathom Suksa 3 students, 2) To conduct a preliminary experimental study on the effects of employing plot diagrams with feedback for Prathomsuksa 3 students to encourage the writing of imaginative stories as part of the curriculum. This investigation followed a one-group pre-posttest design. In the second semester of the academic year 2022 at Anuban Ko Kha School (Numtan-Anukroh), Ko Kha District, the sample group experiment was conducted with Prathomsuksa 3/1 students. 31 individuals from the Lampang Province's Office of Lampang Primary Educational Service Area 2 were chosen by group random sampling. The curriculum, curriculum handbook, and test of creative writing skills served as the research tools. The statistics employed for data analysis were mean, percentage, standard deviation, and t-test dependent.
The findings indicated that: 1. The curriculum promoting students in Grade 3's ability to write imaginative stories by using plot diagrams with feedback has 7 components, including: 1) the curriculum's background and significance; 2) its guiding principles; 3) its objectives; 4) its content; 5) its instructional management; 6) its media/learning resources; and 7) its measurement and assessment. The average degree of appropriateness of the curriculum as a whole was at a high level, according to the results of the evaluation. The total curriculum manual was suitable for a high level, and an efficacy index of 0.7875 was found in the examination of the effectiveness of curriculum creation. 2. The mean scores for the students who studied using the curriculum that encouraged the use of plot diagrams and feedback in writing imaginative stories were statistically significantly higher after learning than before at level 0.05.
