Abstract

          The comprehensive knowledge about the nature of mind makes Buddhism very essential in studying about happiness and the way people in the society can live in peace. Both developed and developing country which capitalism is widespread can get benefit from studying these. From the view of an economist, capitalism is an economic system of which motive for producing goods and services is to sell them for a profit, not to satisfy people's needs. According to this, it can be seen clearly that people’s needs never end. Almost all products use the marketing strategies to create fake need. Because of this, people will feel that they really need to possess that product and they will feel happy only if their needs are fulfilled. In contrast, Buddhist economics asks people to live wisely.
