Academic administration the training centre of Provincial Police Region 5, a division of Royal Thai Police

Abstract

              This study was conducted to investigate the output of the training centre and its management policy in order to find necessary improvement areas and lay out further plans in 6 aspects for the training centre of Provincial Police Region 5, a division of Royal Thai Police; 1) Curriculums and how to manage them; 2) Managing teaching process; 3) Internal improvement process; 4) Internal Communications; 5) Analysing learning process and its results and 6) Ensuring continuity in education performance of the learners.
               A brief set of results showed that at the training centre of Provincial Police Region 5, a division of Royal Thai Police, an overall outstanding rating of 3.47 was achieved, with the rating for Curriculums having ranked 1st at 3.72, followed by Managing teaching process at 3.64, Analysing learning process and its results at 3.59, Ensuring continuity in educational performance at 3.56, with Internal Communications at 3.29 and lastly Internal improvement processed at 3.04.
               Analysis also provided guideline and information on how to lay out plan and improvement process of the overall academic learning aspect at the training centre of Provincial Police Region 5, a division of Royal Thai Police. The recommended action should be to enhance support on conducting and preparing the curriculums, while allowing the teachers and instructors to be more flexible for their learners (police students) and support them to become more independent on locating necessary sources of information for their studies. At the same time, the training centre must be equipped with tools and suitable budget to be able to provide constant support, and praise good results by any teacher or instructor for existing members and arm new members through orientation process. Hence, teachers and instructors could therefore use the appropriate means to measure and provide support to their students to improve the overall results to ensure the quality outcome at the training centre of Provincial Police Region 5.
