Social Immunity in Thailand: Strength and Weakness
Main Article Content
Abstract
The development of people and society in the past was largely a governmental role focused on rehabilitation work. They had solved social problems, and expanded all social services to the entire population thoroughly. That made the quality of Thai people’s life continue to improve, but it was not at satisfactory level. When the economic crisis occurred, it reflected a structural social protection problem that was a weakness of several developments. For instance, the government has restricted about resources and un-responded management, and the situation has changed promptly. The allocation of development investment also focuses on physical aspects rather than on human development. As a result, most Thais are unable to adapt to change and take advantage of information technology as well as new technology especially during a time of globalization and new economy that profoundly effects on the world wide community.
