FACTORS AFFECTING STUDENTS’ ENGLISH SPEAKING, FACULTY OF EDUCATION, NORTH BANGKOK UNIVERSITY

Abstract
The goal of this research is to: 1) examine the degrees of variables that influence the English-speaking abilities of North Bangkok University faculty of education students; and 2) investigate the variables that influence the English-speaking abilities of North Bangkok University faculty of education students. The sample group comprised 179 undergraduate students from North Bangkok University's Faculty of Education. This study uses a simple random sampling technique with a questionnaire to gather data. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis with the Stepwise approach are implemented to analyze the data.
The study's findings indicated that: 1) Overall, the Faculty of Education at North Bangkok University determined that factors influencing students' English speaking were at a moderate level. 2) The hypothesis test results showed that study attitude (X6), basic knowledge (X3), and family (X7), were factors affecting students' English speaking at North Bangkok University's Faculty of Education. These factors together could predict English speaking ability with a significant statistical level at 0.05 and could explain ability to speak was 58.11% The results could be expressed as an equation as follows.
