COMMUNITY PARTICIPATORY MANAGEMENT IN DRUG PROBLEM MANAGEMENT IN DUSIT DISTRICT, BANGKOK METROPOLITAN

Abstract

This research aimed; 1) to study the community participatory management in drug problem management in Dusit District, Bangkok, and 2) to compare the level of community participatory management in drug problem management in Dusit District, Bangkok, classified by personal factors. This research was a quantitative. The population was people in Dusit District, Bangkok, 72,924 people. The sample was 395 people. The sample was determined using Taro Yamane's table. The instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and One way ANOVA.


          The research results found that; 1) the community participatory management in drug problem management in Dusit District, Bangkok was at a moderate level, overall (  = 3.02). When considering each aspect, it was found that the community had a moderate level of participation in drug problem management, with the assessment aspect having the highest mean value (  = 3.05), followed by the planning aspect (  = 3.04), and the aspect with the lowest mean value was the implementation aspect (  = 2.97), and 2) the level of community participatory management in drug problem management in Dusit District, Bangkok Metropolitan, classified by personal factors, found that gender, age, status, education level, occupation and income were different there were significantly different levels of community participation in drug problem management in Dusit District, Bangkok at a statistical level of 0.05.
