THE INTEGRATION OF INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM WITH STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF SUAN DUSIT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This academic article on the integration of the internal quality assurance system with the strategic management of Suan Dusit University aims to analyze and synthesize the internal education quality assurance system of Suan Dusit University (SDU QA), which was developed to respond to the changing educational context and the promulgation of the Ministerial Regulation on Educational Quality Assurance 2561 BE. It focuses on integrating the quality assurance system with the university's strategic plan. The study found that SDU QA is the result of addressing the limitations of the traditional quality assurance system, with a significant turning point being the recognition of the need to adapt to uncertain situations and the new normal of society. This system is characterized by the setting of challenging indicators that cover the university's strategies, resulting in new knowledge: the VIT Cs model, which provides guidelines for practice towards success and measurable value creation. This can be summarized into six key points: 1) Pain points of using the traditional quality assurance system, 2) Turning points that led to the development of SDU QA, 3) Characteristics of the system and quality assurance manual (SDU QA), 4) New knowledge as guidelines for practice towards success (Performance and success goals), 5) Benefits and values gained (Gain points), and 6) Recommendations for the next steps of the quality assurance system (Next points). This analysis shows that SDU QA is an example of developing a flexible quality assurance system that meets the needs of higher education institutions in the present era.
