PROMOTING ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT IN THE EDUCATION SECTOR TOWARD BECOMING A DATA-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION: A CASE STUDY OF THE OFFICE OF QUALITY DEVELOPMENT, OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT, SRINAKHARINWIROT UNIVERSITY

Abstract
This research article aimed to 1) develop a data visualization system for activity budget request information for the Quality Development Division, Office of the President, Srinakharinwirot University, and 2) enhance the efficiency of organizational budgetary information to support administration and decision-making by executives of the Quality Development Division, Office of the President, Srinakharinwirot University. The study employed a research and development approach conducted within the Quality Development Division, Office of the President, Srinakharinwirot University, using purposive sampling. The research process was divided into four phases: Phase 1 involved examining organizational problems related to internal data management; Phase 2 involved developing a dataset using Microsoft Power BI; Phase 3 involved implementing the dashboard-based data presentation system at the executive level within the division; and Phase 4 involved evaluating the effectiveness of the innovation implementation. The research participants consisted of five individuals, including two administrators and three staff members. The research instruments included structured interviews and observation.
The findings indicated that: 1) the data visualization system for activity budget requests of the Quality Development Division was successfully developed and could be examined in accordance with the LIST Model, particularly in terms of Learning and Innovation. This involved learning about organizational culture and existing problems in order to improve the innovation to ensure appropriateness and foster acceptance among organizational members; and 2) the organizational budgetary information used for administration and executive decision-making within the Quality Development Division was enhanced in terms of efficiency. This improvement could be explained using the LIST Model, particularly in the aspects of Sustainable Action and Transformation, which promoted the sustainable adoption of innovation and facilitated constructive and sustainable organizational change.
