Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to 1) study the context and potential, 2) develop a value-added creation process, and 3) propose guidelines for creating added value for integrated Buddhist pottery products of the Ban Mon Khao Kaew community, Phichai Sub-district, Mueang District, Lampang Province. This study is qualitative research, collecting data through in-depth interviews with 20 key informants and analyzing the data using descriptive content analysis.
The research findings were as follows: The community's context and potential reflect a cultural foundation clearly linked to Buddhist principles. The potential in products is rooted in the principle of Sila (morality), which signifies meticulousness in craftsmanship; the potential in group formation reflects the principle of Samagghi (harmony); and the opportunity for development requires the principles of (Panna) (wisdom) and Chakkhuma (sharp vision) to identify modern market channels. The community has developed a value-added creation process by integrating Dhamma principles, utilizing (Panna) (wisdom) in applying appropriate technology, using Sila (morality) to build a brand and credible story, and relying on the principle of Nissayasampanno (being well-supported) to establish collaborative networks with various partners. The guidelines for sustainable, integrated Buddhist value creation consist of four approaches: product development, marketing promotion, network collaboration, and the conservation and transmission of wisdom. All of these are integrated with the Threefold Training (Tri Sikkha) (Sila, Samadhi, Panna) and the Principles of a Successful Businessman (Papanikadhamma) (Chakkhuma, Vidhuro, Nissayasampanno) to serve as a framework for operations.
