A STUDY OF FACTORS AFFECTING ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN CHIANG RAI PROVINCE

Abstract
The research findings revealed that (1) the factors affecting students’ English learning in secondary schools in Chiang Rai Province included learner-related, teacher-related, instructional management, learning media and technology, and environmental and family-support factors. Learner-related factors exerted the greatest influence, followed by instructional management and teacher-related factors; and (2) the correlation analysis indicated that all factors were positively and significantly associated with students’ English learning outcomes, with learner-related and instructional management factors demonstrating stronger relationships than the other factors.
