DEVELOPMENT OF CREATIVE THINKING AND INNOVATIONS SKILLS THROUGH THE FORMALIZED ENGINEERING DESIGN PROCESS USING THE EDCI MODEL

Abstract
The results of the study revealed that:
The EDCI learning management model achieved an efficiency of 96.08/94.05,
exceeding the predetermined criterion of 80/80.
The students' post-test learning achievement was significantly higher than their
pre-test achievement at the .05 level. The mean pre-test score was 10.58 (S.D. = 2.62), while the mean post-test score was 18.81 (S.D .= 1.77).
After participating in the engineering design process-based learning, the students
demonstrated a very high level of creative thinking and innovation skills (x ̅= 4.68, S.D. = 0.47).
After the learning intervention, the students' confidence in their creativity was at
a high level (x ̅= 4.58, S.D. = 0.35).
