Administrative Effectiveness of the Sub-District Administrative Organization in Ubonratchathani Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were thesefold: 1. To investigate the factor influencing the effectiveness of subdistrict administration organizations; 2.To determine the effectiveness of subdistrict administration organizations; and 3. To ascertain the problem and obstacles concerning the administration pratices      as well as quieting for the improvement of the administration of the subdistrict administration organizations. The study was qualitative in character 18 key informants comprised the sample of the study;              the informants in ruded the following: 1. Person of high ealiber in the officialdom of local administration 2. Highly qualified persons in the field of local administration. And 3. Highly respected persons in field of community leadership and civil society. The collecteat data were analyzed using the content analysis. the data analysis has brought to light the facts specified below.

1. On factors influencing the effectivement of the subdistrict administration organizations, there were obtained from policy and administration plan and factors relating to the administration processes such as leadership and satisfaction, peoples cooperation as well as cooperation from organizations covermed. 2. On the effectiveness of the administration practices of subdistrict administration organizations to reach to the set longest. There were derived from organizational policy and public service system plan stipulated in Section 16 resulting in public satisfaction as well as the satisfaction of service providers. Finally, it brought great benefits to the public at large. 3. On the findings pertaining to the problems and obstacles as well as the guidelines for fresltes improvement of subdistrict administration organizations. They were on follows; 3.1) Staff members failed to gain insights into the rules and regulation, and they were irresponsible for the molsing use of the available resources for the public good. 3.2) Insufficient budgets, look of good work coordination, and the poor workplaces as well as poor environment. 3.3) Attempts should be made to encourage public participation in live will the local development plan.
