The Development of the 21st skills by Active Learning for Teacher Education Students, Faculty of Education, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University

The aims of the research were 1) to study results of developing the 21st century skills by using active learning activities, and 2) to study opinions of students toward the 21st Century skills by using Active Learning activities. The sample group was students in Mathematics major who studied in section 1, Faculty of Education, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University. The research sample were derived by purposive sampling selection technique. The research instruments were comprised of 1) Active Learning lesson Plan in ECU 3202 that Learning Management were divided into 4 types consisted of 12 activities, 2) a self-evaluation form for the 21st Century skills, 3) an observation form of the 21st Century skills, and 4) a questionnaire towards the 21st Century skills development. The statistics for data analysis were Mean and Standard Deviation and Data Analysis. The research results appeared that:
1) the overall 21st century skills by using active learning activities for teacher students at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University was the highest Mean and the highest level ( = 4.51, S.D. = 0.44). When considered in each aspect, it appeared that the collaboration and team work was at the highest level was the highest Mean and the highest level (
= 4.69, S.D. = 0.39).
2) the overall opinions toward the development the 21st century skills by using active learning activities for student teachers at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University was at the highest level 4.70 (S.D. = 0.36). The highest Mean were active learning management enhanced the real practices and they could use the learning techniques from this course to apply for their teacher profession were respectively ranked ( = 4.86, S.D. = 0.36) that at the highest level.
