The possibility of using Cannabis for recreation on Thailand

This article presents the trend of using Cannabis for recreation in Thailand at the present time and in the future and emphasizes on transferring knowledge about Cannabis; general characteristics, types, active compounds in Cannabis, and especially legal utilization of Cannabis such as its fiber, oil, and seed for consumption, relaxation, and therapy. According to the study, it can be seen that the possibility in using Cannabis for recreation in Thailand needs a number of years for legal development. Even there are policies representing Cannabis cultivation patterns for people higher income nowadays, Cannabis for medical use, patient treatment, and treatment for specific diseases are still under physician’s control for adequate amount of usage. Otherwise, it causes negative outcomes. For other benefits and purposes, it is not allowed using legally. However, a great amount of time is required to represent researches supporting and showing that the use of Cannabis for recreation results in advantages more than disadvantages for Thai people.
