The Development of English Reading Comprehension Ability and English Reading Behavior by using the SQ3R Method for Prathomsuesa 5 Students

The purposes of this research were 1) to develop the English reading ability by SQ3R for grade 5th students 2) to study English reading behavior by SQ3R for grade 5th students 3) to study opinions by SQ3R for grade 5th students. Target Population were 10 grade 5th students were studying in the 2nd semester academic year 2020 at Bannamsap School (Kaeng Krachan Anusorn 1), Kaeng Krachan:Phetchaburi. The instruments of the research were: The English reading ability lesson plans by SQ3R, English reading ability tests, behavior observation forms and a questionnaires inquiring students opinions.The collected data were analyzed by mean (x̄) and standard deviation (S.D.) and t-test dependent.
The research results were as follows 1) The English reading ability by SQ3R for grade 5th students were significantly higher than before at the .50 level. 2) The English reading behavior by SQ3R for grade 5th students were at excellent level. 3) The opinions of grade 5th students towards learning the SQ3R method were highly positive
