Abstract

The book "Following in the Footsteps of Phra Lor, Phra Phuen, and Phra Phaeng", published by the Phrae Provincial Cultural Office, aims to promote cultural tourism through the study of the classical Thai literary work Lilit Phra Lor, which is rooted in real historical locations in Phayao and Phrae provinces. The content integrates history, culture, art, and local wisdom, linking the love story of Phra Lor, Phra Phuen, and Phra Phaeng with the socio-political and religious context of the time. The book offers historical, social, economic, and spiritual value, embedding core Buddhist teachings such as the Brahmavihara, karma, and the Three Characteristics (Tilakkhaṇa).
