Abstract

Guidelines for Inheritance of Tai Yuan Culture and Weaving Career in Ban Non Kum Weaving Community Enterprise Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

The objectives of this research were to 1) find out the information regarding culture and weaving career in Ban Non Kum Weaving Community Enterprise Sikhio district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, and 2) investigate business management of the community enterprise. The population of the study were 1) the president of the community enterprise, 2) a teacher from Sikhio Sawad. phadungwitthaya School that provided instructional activity in class for the inheritance of Tai Yuan culture and weaving career, and 3) six students that involved in the instructional activity for the inheritance of Tai Yuan culture and weaving career during academic year 2015. Research instruments were semi-structure interview. Research method was Focus Group Discussion. All information from interviews, literatures, academic articles, and research from the research database were accumulatively analyzed and content analysis was used to summarize the research result, and then transcribed into written texts.

Findings revealed that Ban Non Kum Weaving Community Enterprise regularly promote the inheritance of Tai Yuan culture and weaving career by welcoming all visitors to learn and observe its activities and also organizations both public and private organizations. The community enterprise together with teachers provided learning activities in class about Tai Yuan culture and weaving career. For the business management of the community enterprise, there was ‘organizational chart’ and ‘division of labor’ aspect of management. The community enterprise, in addition, has been supported by both public and private organizations in terms of ‘budget support’, ‘equipment’, and ‘package design’ of its products.
