Role of Executives in Promoting Research in classes of the College of Dramatic Arts, The Bunditpatanasilpa Institute Ministry of Culture
The purpose of this research is to study and compare the role of executives in promoting research in classes of the College of Dramatic Arts, The Bunditpatanasilpa Institute, Ministry of Culture for academic year 2014. The 204 samples consist of 96 executives and 108 teachers. The quantity of sample was determined by using Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size table. The 5-level rating scale questionnaires were applied to this sample group. Statistical employed were percentage, mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.), while T-test was employed to compare difference among individual samples
Results are as follows:
1. The roles of executives in promoting research in classes, there are 5 roles in general: (1) Supporting the research achievement (2) Being responsible for the researchers (3) Giving precedence to research activities (4) Giving advancement to the researchers (5) Admiring the researchers’ endeavor. Furthermore, by the result, both executives and teachers need their research to be supported in order of priority: (1) Being responsible for the researchers (2) Giving career advancement to the researchers (3) Supporting the research achievement (4) Giving precedence to research activities (5) Admiring the researchers’ endeavor.
2. According to results from comparison of executives’ and teachers’ opinions, the executives’ actions of promoting research in classes conformed to 4 assumptions, except, the support of research achievement which was 0.05 in significantly statistical differences. Also, the executives’ requirement of promoting research in classes conformed to 4 assumptions, except the responsibility to the researchers that was 0.05 in significantly statistical differences.
