The Creative Nora Dance of Supat Narksen

Abstract

This research aims at studying basic elements and process of creating the Nora performance of Nora Supat Narksen. The data was collected by studying related documents, interviewing, and observing his work, which created and developed from his knowledge, until it became unique. 

The findings suggest that Nora Supat Narksen is a talented Nora performer. The major elements of his working process are 1.) The ideas of creation are from two main reasons: the demanding of the customer: the free idea of him. 2.) The show is adapted and created under the traditional rules. 3.) The elements of his performance consisted of 5 factors which are (1) the performer factor, (2) the creative movements, (3) the musical factor, (4) the lyrics factor, and (5) the costume factor. 

However, his working process was creatively produced by the following factors. (1) The performer factor, (2) The creative movements divided into two forms which are the dance with and without lyrics. (3)The musical factor, (4) The lyrics factor, (5) The costume factor
