The Development of a Mobile Application to Enhance Learning Achievement in Computing Science for Grade 10 Students at Wat Thaphae Municipal School, Thung Song District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) develop and evaluate the quality of a mobile application for learning Computer Science for Grade 10 students, 2) compare students’ learning achievement before and after using the application, and 3) assess students’ satisfaction with the mobile application. The sample consisted of 25 Grade 10 students from Wat Thaphae Municipal School, selected through simple random sampling using the classroom as the sampling unit. The research instruments included: 1) the developed mobile application, 2) a media quality evaluation form, 3) a learning management plan, 4) a learning achievement test, and 5) a satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using a Paired Samples t-test.
The research findings revealed that: 1) the mobile application, developed using Google App Script in conjunction with Glide App, consisted of five main components: (1) homepage, (2) learning page with media/VDOs/worksheets, (3) quiz submission form, (4) activity and download page, and (5) external learning resources. There are the highest level of quality assessment results from experts. 2) students’ post-test scores were significantly higher than their pre-test scores at the .05 level of significance; and 3) students’ satisfaction with the mobile application was at a high level.
