Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were to: 1) examine the attributes of the 21stcentury school administrators under the Secondary Education Service Area Office Nakhon Si Thammarat; 2) assess the implementation of student support systems in schools; 3) identify the 21stcentury administrative attributes that influence the operation of student support systems; and 4) propose guidelines for developing such attributes. The quantitative sample comprised 52 school directors and 52 head teachers responsible for student support systems. Qualitative data collection was conducted using a purposive sampling method from educational institutions that received student care system awards, including three educational school directors. Research instruments included questionnaires and interview forms. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, percentage, frequency, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis and presented descriptively.
The research findings reveal that: 1) the overall attributes of the 21stcentury school administrators were at a high level; 2) the overall implementation of student support systems was also at a high level; and 3) participative administration, inspiration, and vision demonstrated positive and statistically significant relationships with the implementation of student support systems at the .05 level. These predictors yielded the regression equation y = 0.985 + 0.383(X4) + 0.261(X5) + 0.139(X1), with an overall prediction accuracy of 79.50 percent. 4) The proposed guidelines for developing the 21st century
