Guidelines of Tourism Management in Ayutthaya World Heritage Site In view of entrepreneurs and tourists.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine approach for Tourism  management in Ayutthaya from point view of entrepreneurs and tourists. Researcher applied quantitative and qualitative data based on Stufflebeam’s CIPP Model questionnaire, SWOT Analysis, and gathering inputs for all professionals using Delphi Technique in order to analyze out of this research. The results could be concluded that entrepreneurs and tourists have proposed approach to develop tourism management in Ayutthaya, the world heritage from management point of view as follows : Planning perspectives: 1. There should be integration of tourism management between government and private sector in order to minimize redundant effort and optimize budget required for each activity that planned for supporting tourism business, improving products and services, and developing tourist attraction areas. 2.  There should be integration of corresponding governance policies with tangible actions especially public market project, which would lead to better results in tourism, economy, and community development. 3. There should be continuously review and  strategic planning improvement in order to suite with environment in Ayutthaya and lead to actual actions 4. There should be support and participation in cultural conservation, local knowledge, mental development, cultivating consciousness to local people and tourists. Organization perspectives: 1. There should be improvement of tourist attraction area for developing economy in Ayutthaya. 2. There should be support for developing network to strengthening social community, establish group for career development, distributing products and services to tourists in order to balancing income to local people. 3. There should be facilities development for more convenient. 4. There should be responsivities review of related officers for proactive operation. 5. There should be establishment of Ayutthaya tourist information center with full services.

Operation perspectives: 1. There should be support, development, and fully utilization of all tourist attraction, tourist activities, traditional events, and tourism services. 2. There should be budget support to develop tourist attraction, activities, tradition including cleanness and safety. 3. There should be  activities support related to historical tourism, tradition, culture as well as entertainment and healthy. 4. There should be proactively communication and public relations. 5. There should be quality development of services personnel to align with international standard. Controlling perspectives: 1. There should be traffic system improvement especially during holiday and rush hour. 2. There should be improvement  and development of tourist attraction areas. 3. There should be better organization of organize local shops or market and keep appropriate scenery.
