Guidelines for the Development of the Northeastern University as a Green University

Abstract

           The objectives of this research were; 1. to study the level of the perception about the development approach policy to green university of Northeastern University Khon Kaen  2) to analyze the factors influencing the policies and the approach to the green university of Northeastern university, Khon kaen. The quantitative research was used in this research. The sample groups are the staffs and the students in Northeastern University Khon kaen. The sample was calculated by using Taro Yamane's formula at 95% reliability level. The 400 samples were selected by Simple Random Sampling.  The data collection instrument was the five-level estimation questionnaire along the Likert Scale, and the data was analyzed by using statistical data, frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Stepwise multiple regression and correlation analysis.

          The results of the study found that 1) the level of perception and opinions of the students and the staffs on the development policy and approach to green university was overall at a high level. 2) the factors influencing the policies and the approach to the green university of Northeastern university, Khon kaen found that there were 10 factors out of 42 factors, including 1) faculty / branch / course Management 2) using computers in computer labs 3) cleanliness 4) the activities in the classroom 5) improving landscape / planting trees in the institution 6) closing faucets for others, 7) leaving the water running while washing hands., 8) printing reports, 9) hand washing, and 10) photocopies every time of the instruction. All 10 factors were able to explain the variance or predict the dependent variable at 49.4% statistically significant at the .05 level.
