Learning Style of Nursing Students at North Bangkok University

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the learning patterns and the relationship between academic levels and work-based learning patterns among nursing students pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing Science degree at North Bangkok University. The study adopts a survey-based research approach, with a sample group comprising first to third-year students from the first semester of the academic year 2023, totaling 107 individuals. The research utilized the Work Learning Style Inventory (WLSI) questionnaire and employed descriptive and chi-square statistical analyses.

          The study findings reveal that most of the sample group predominantly exhibits a solitary learning pattern at 79.44%. Within the solitary learning pattern, students primarily excel in kinesthetic learning, with 40.00%, followed by auditory learning at 29.41%, read/write learning at 23.53%, and visual learning at 7.06%. Moreover, the academic level was found to have
an insignificant correlation with learning patterns (p>0.05). Additionally, the study identifies that the predominant learning styles among the sample group with solitary learning patterns were kinesthetic at 40.00%, followed by auditory at 29.41%, read/write at 29.41%, and visual at 7.06%.
