The Strategies of Academic Affair Administration in the VUCA World of Schools under Secondary Educational Service Office, Khon Kaen Area

Abstract

This research were aimed 1) to study the current condition, desired condition, necessary needs, and 2) to create strategies for academic affair administration in the VUCA world of schools under Secondary Educational Service Office, Khon Kaen Area with mixed-method research. In phase 1, the population included 3,347 school administrators and teachers, and the sample group were 358 people who randomly sampling through Taro Yamane formula at the level of .05 which using the schools’ sizes as a criterion. In phase 2: the target groups were 3 experts. The research tools included the questionnaire with 5 levels of rating scale, and the semi-structured interview form. The statistics used included frequency, mean, standard deviation, and the index of essential needs.

          The research found that 1) the overall of current condition was at a high level. The overall of desirable conditions was at the highest level. Lastly, the necessary needs; the area with the highest needs index were measurement, evaluation, and transfer of academic results, followed by the development of media and learning resources, educational innovation and technology, learning management development, and development of school curriculum, respectively, 2) there were 4 stretegies for academic affair administration in the VUCA world of schools under Secondary Educational Service Office, Khon Kaen Area ; 1) 6 measures of raising the level of measurement, evaluation, and transfer of academic results, 2)  6 measures of promoting the development and use of media effective learning resources, innovations, and educational technology, 3) 6 measures of developing learning management consistently, and (4) 4 measures of developing the school curriculum which focusing on the future skills of learners.
