Factors Affecting Buying Decision and Satisfaction on Purchasing Digital Government Lottery Ticket on the “PAOTANG” Application among Working-age People in Bangkok

This paper examines factors affecting buying decisions and satisfaction in purchasing digital government lottery tickets on the “Paotang” application among working-age people in Bangkok. The sample groups were 370 working-age people who work in Bangkok, the research was conducted using both online and onsite questionnaires. The statistic used were percentage, mode, mean, and standard deviation; hypothesis testing, an Independent Sample T test, and one-way ANOVA with a significance level of 0.05.
The results shown that the overall average satisfaction was found to be generally high across each of the factors considered. The highest average levels of satisfaction in term of the product were lottery tickets price (4.46). The next highest levels were verification of prizes and withdrawal of funds (4.39). The transparency and inspection (4.39). In term of purchasing, the highest average levels of satisfaction were the simplicity of payment (4.41), and the simplicity of choosing tickets and simple purchasing procedure (4.32). In terms of the application’s readiness, the satisfaction towards the application readiness was 4.20, the next satisfaction levels were attraction of the application (4.14), the application guidance by the government (4.08). In terms of technology, the satisfaction levels were the smartphone accessibility (4.26), the compatibility with smartphones’ operational system (4.24), the stability with the internet (4.18). In terms of the storage of purchased lottery tickets, the satisfaction level towards the storage was 4.48, the next were verification of prizes and withdrawal of funds (4.47) and the ability to search the purchased lottery tickets (4.32).
The results of Hypothesis Test 1 found that there was no significant difference in the satisfaction of purchasing digital lottery tickets on the “Pao Tang” application between males and females at the .05 significance level. The results of Hypothesis Test 2 found that different levels of education did not significantly affect the satisfaction of purchasing digital lottery tickets on the Pao Tang application at the .05 significance level. The results of Hypothesis Test 3 found that different age groups did not significantly affect the overall satisfaction with the Pao Tang application at the .05 significance level.
