Factors Affecting Readiness for ASEAN Economic Community of Accounting Firms, Lampang Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to study the awareness and understanding about AEC and the level of readiness of Accounting Firms for ASEAN Economic Community, and to investigate factors affecting readiness for ASEAN Economic Community of Accounting Firms, Lampang Province. Data were collected from 62 accountants. The tool used in this study was questionnaire. The statistics employed in the analysis were Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation and Multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that the level of the awareness and understanding about ASEAN Economic Community were at the moderate level. The four aspects of readiness for ASEAN Economic Community were arranged from highest to lowest level as follows: readiness of Accounting Profession, Law, Information and Communication Technology, and Language, respectively. Besides, the awareness and understanding about AEC had affected the readiness for AEC Economic Community of Accounting Firms, Lampang province at the statistically significance of 0.01.
