บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาที่เมืองใหญ่ของโลกกำลังเผชิญกับภัยคุกคามในยุคปัจจุบัน โดยเฉพาะจากการก่อการร้ายในพื้นที่เขตเมือง โดยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยการสำรวจเอกสาร ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) เมืองกลายเป็นเป้าหมายหลักของการก่อการร้าย 2) การก่อการร้าย ความขัดแย้ง และความรุนแรงที่เกิดขึ้นทั่วทุกมุมโลกสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงของการสงคราม จนอาจกล่าวได้ว่าเป็นแบบแผนของสงครามใหม่ และ 3) เหตุการณ์การก่อการร้ายในช่วงไม่กี่ปีที่ผ่านมาสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงของการก่อการร้ายในหลากหลายมิติ ส่วนสุดท้ายของบทความจะนำเสนอแนวปฏิบัติสำหรับการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงปลอดภัยในเมืองของไทย
