Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) study personnel management at Suan Dusit University in accordance with the SDU Direction and The Power of SDU approaches; and 2) examine guidelines for personnel management at Suan Dusit University from the SDU Direction toward the creation of The Power of SDU. A quantitative research design was employed. The population comprised 2,847 personnel of all categories at Suan Dusit University, and data were collected from a sample of 676 respondents through stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of .96. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Exploratory Factor Analysis, Pearson's product-moment correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that: 1) the personnel expressed opinions toward the SDU Direction (= 4.31, S.D. = 0.463), The Power of SDU (= 4.41, S.D. = 0.491), and personnel management (= 4.40, S.D. = 0.511) at a high level; 2) the Exploratory Factor Analysis indicated that the SDU Direction consisted of five components (accounting for 60.460% of the variance), The Power of SDU consisted of seven components (accounting for 71.154% of the variance), and personnel management consisted of four components (accounting for 67.462% of the variance); and 3) the SDU Direction and The Power of SDU jointly predicted personnel management at 82.5% (R² = .825, p < .001), with The Power of SDU exerting the greatest influence (β = .706), followed by the SDU Direction (β = .231). The predictive equation was: HR Management = 0.059 + 0.255(SDU Direction) + 0.735(The Power of SDU).
