WORK HAPPINESS OF PERSONNEL OF THE OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

The purposes of this research were to: 1) examine work happiness of personnel of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, and 2) compare work happiness of personnel of the Office of the Basic Education Commission classified by personal factors, including gender, age, education level, position type, monthly income, and length of service. This study employed a quantitative research methodology. The sample consisted of 296 personnel working at the central office of the Office of the Basic Education Commission, selected through probability sampling using simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire, with an overall reliability coefficient of 0.98. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, including t-test and F-test. The findings revealed that the overall level of work happiness among personnel of the Office of the Basic Education Commission was at a high level. When classified by dimensions, all dimensions of work happiness were also at a high level, ranked from highest to lowest as follows: achievement at work, interpersonal relations, recognition, and love of work. In addition, personnel with different personal factors, including gender, age, education level, monthly income, and length of service, exhibited different levels of work happiness, whereas personnel with different position types showed no significant differences in work happiness.
