READY-PREPARED OFFERINGS PROBLEM

Abstract

               This study is aimed on investigation of components of the ready-prepared offerings offered to Buddhist Monks by Thai people in 3 aspects as follows; the unusable offerings which are not useful for the monks and religious affairs in the present days, the usable offerings, as well as the usable offerings which are not offered by the Buddhists and the ready-prepared offerings, which Buddhists do not offer but are beneficial to monks or religious activities.
             From the analysis of study, the problem is the monks cannot drink in the ready-prepared offerings. The quantity of ready-to-drink powder is not standardized, expired medicines, quality flashlights, monk robes, rain showers non-standard sizes. The offering of an inappropriate small Buddha statue, incense and candles are more than necessary and are not standardized, and also low quality tissue paper, lack of cleaning equipment, lack of animal feed, the last want quality shoes and need standard hose.
              Therefore, the offering of ready-made offerings to monks should take into consideration problems, needs and necessities of the monks or the temple. In order that the monks will use the ready-prepared offerings to be used in modern times.
