CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT BASED ON SELF – SUFFICIENCE ECONOMY COVERING STUDENT’S 4 BASIC LIFE FACTORY FOR GRADE 7 STUDENTS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to develop curriculum according to philosophy sufficiency economy 4 basic life factors for grade 7 students (Muttayom Suksa 1) students   and to study the result of the using created curriculum. The samples were 32 voluntary grade 7 students of Anuban Kokha School, (Namtarn Anukhok). Quasi-Experimental Research participated in course Sufficiency Economy Philosophy on Factor 4 was used. Research tools were the developed curriculum, the curriculum documents, pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation and t-test.

The results found that there was curriculum based on the philosophy of self- sufficiency economy covering students’ 4 basic life factors for grade 7 students which composed of 5 learning units were: 1) Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy and Life Fundamentals 2) 4 Factors: True Value and Illusion 3) Heal Yourself, Take Care of Your Life 4) Take Care of Self-reliance and 5) Thinking, Applying, Understanding Economics. The developed curriculum had suitable average, at high level ( = 3.59, S.D = 0.46). The curriculum documents had suitable average, at high level ( = 3.67, S.D = 0.64). and results of using course students have higher scores after studying than before it was statistically significant at the .05 level, with a mean score after school was ( 25.03, S.D = 7.34) and a mean score before school was ( 16.41, S.D = 3.28).
