AN ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE IMPORTANT OF COMMENT ARYSCRIPTURE IN THE STUDY OF TRIPITAKA

Abstract

              This research aims to; 1) Study the opinions about the commentary scripture on the study of the Tripitaka, 2) Study the importance of commentary scripture on the study of Buddhist scriptures according to the Buddhist tradition, and 3) Analyzing the importance of the commentary scripture on the study of the Tripitaka.

              This research is a study and analysis using the PaliTripitaka scriptures, , Thai Tripitaka translation, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and the Tripitaka and Thai translation commentary, Mahamakutrarajavidyalaya University. The research started with studying the problems and brought the problems to study,after that studied the importance problems to analyze by pointing out the importance of the commentary scriptures on the Tripitaka study along with interviews from the three experts in commentary scriptures.

              The results of the research showed that the commentary scripture is especially important for the study of the Tripitaka. The commentary scripture is the scripture described the scriptures directly, representing the second problem solving in the interpretation of the Tripitaka and help determine the meaning of word or sentence correctly. The commentary scripture is also compilation of information about the Buddha history scattered in the Tripitaka, which is related to the Buddhism tradition, with sequence of explanations, either vocabulary or words, explanations, meaning, in the Vinayapitaka, Suttantapitaka, and Abhidhammapitaka, with storytelling continuous and melodious order as well as linking various processes to help understanding in Buddhist scriptures or stories in the Tripitaka clearly.The commentary is like a bridge or a ladder that allows you to step into the Tripitaka and is a dictionary that maintains the original description from as many as possible.
