Abstract
The purpose of this article was aimed to examine how technology map has been developed in the ‘Evolution of Economic Thoughts’ course for the independent study of the undergraduate students and to investigate how criteria have been established, as well as and the students satisfaction toward self-learning evaluation.
The results showed as follows:
1. Developing technology map in the evolution of economic thoughts for independent study of students unveiled learning design processes systematically in works through every step of the lessons that most details were provided to identify, modify, and coordinate the host activities in the course to organize independent activities in the linkage between the outcomes and learning objectives. The technology map was initiated with general information about the lessons, designating topic and number of lessons, course calendar, lesson plans, practice from diagraming economic theory, subjective and objective tests, references, definitions, situation analysis under the supervision of the instructor in accordance with schedules and learning assessment.
2. Establishing criteria and student satisfaction toward self-learning evaluation, the results showed the inclusion of the objectives regarding the control of the independent study on the quality of works and student’s achievement level; the student satisfaction toward technology map application and online media was of the high level; lesson review is included throughout the course, representing by 4.88 (very good), and reliable scoring system by 4.78 (very good), time- saving on studying and timely delivery by 4.68 (very good) respectively.
