Abstract
The objectives of this research are to study the history and development of Buddhist art in Chiang Rai, Identity of Buddhist art in Chiang Rai and analyze the value of Buddhist art in Chiang Rai.
The Buddhist art work in Chiang Rai has a long development, continuing from the Lanna Buddhist art work, being mixed in a wide range of art and influenced by various works of art, but still retains the identity of the modern eraas seen in the past to the present
The important Buddhist art work of Chiang Rai is clearly visible. Buddhist art work in Chiang Saen city .There are many evidences such as sculpture, Buddha image of Chiang Saen , all Architecture have unique characteristics, cathedral church, brick building Chiang Saen period temple is unique. "A roof that shows the structure" is no ceiling Can see the roof of every piece of the painting during the post-Buddhist era, 25th century will find the painting, life style, tradition of the north that is related to Buddhism.
