THE TEMPLE: THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY PEACE AMONG THAI SOCIETY

Abstract

              The temple is one of the elements of religion. Buddhism is the dominant institution in Thai society, that not more than the national institute or Royal institute. It plays the role as the creator of progress and stability for Thai society for continuously. The temple is a place where there is variety roles such as the study place, hospital, the justice court, nursing home for children and old people, a shelter for travelers, and community welfare. And Thai society always be harmonious with the faith and practices’ principle of Buddhism that effects to Thai’s lifestyle. This show the character of love, compassion, and mutual help. From the mentioned above, the monks have contributed significantly to bring peace to the community that cover all elements these are: Education, Religion, Politics, Justice and social media. All are considered to be truly supportive peaces in the community.
