Abstract

There are numerous barriers to resolving the issue of bullying in schools, which has long been prevalent in Thai society. Studying the conditions that lead to student bullying in private schools and the behavioral modification guidelines for students who exhibit bullying behavior were the two main goals of this investigation.

In-depth interviews and observations were used in this qualitative research study. 13 students served as the main informants, along with teachers, school administrators, child and adolescent psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and parents.

The findings revealed that the bullying patterns that children experienced made fun of their inferiority complexes and made them feel ostracized from the group. Bullying is caused by a variety of factors, such as the desire to dominate, peer pressure, being raised by different families, a competitive educational system rather than one that emphasizes life skills development and being stigmatized by the community.

Parents should be involved in their children's behavior modification by focusing on behavior modification rather than severe punishment, according to the behavior modification guidelines. The information gleaned from the study will assist educators in understanding the significance of and strategy for combating the issue of bullying among students.
