Main Article Content
Abstract
This investigation's goal was to examine the influences of using electronic media for education at the National University of Laos during the COVID-19 pandemic. This quantitative study used questionnaires. 363 students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at National University of Laos made up the sample. It involves computer-aided data analysis.
The results showed that:
Overall, all of the aspects involving the use of electronic media in learning and teaching at National University during the COVID-19 outbreak were at a high level, and both faculties were helpful. In the Faculty of Social Sciences, the average was at a high level (=3.70, S.D=0.95), while in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, it was at a high level (=3.54, S.D=(0.97). Each aspect should be taken into account in the following order: equipment, budget, accessibility using electronic media, and technical data receiving and sending factors.
These variables make the use of electronic media in teaching and learning at the National University of Laos during the COVID-19 epidemic inefficient and ineffective for some topics and particular student groups. Students were outside more than a year ago during the previous academic year because many students, particularly those who reside in remote and rural locations, are unable to access the usage of electronic media in teaching and learning.
