GUIDELINES TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE PERFORMANCE OF TRAFFIC POLICE OFFICERS AT THA KHAM METROPOLITAN POLICE STATION

Abstract
Since it affects individuals' daily lives, traffic work is a police specialty that frequently receives criticism from the public. As a result, the purpose of this study is to investigate public perceptions of the performance of traffic police officers at Tha Kham Metropolitan Police Station, compare how these perceptions differ from personal factors, and offer recommendations for improving the effectiveness of their work. Quantitative and qualitative research were both used in this study. A sample of 400 participants were employed in the quantitative research, and questionnaires were used as a means to collect data. In-depth interviews with 14 important informants were conducted for the qualitative research.
The study's findings revealed that: 1) public perceptions of Tha Kham Police Station's traffic officers' performance in all areas were at the highest level, scoring an average of 4.4. 2) the performance of traffic police officers at Tha Kham Police Station is viewed differently by people with different incomes. 3) Recommendations for making traffic police officers' work more effective the Tha Kham Metropolitan City includes, 3.1) Training ought to provide officers performing law enforcement activities academic training, 3.2) In terms of services, people should help alleviate traffic issues by improving the effectiveness of public relations efforts and response efforts in the event of a crisis, 3.3) The welfare aspect ought to offer the welfare of traffic employees a set position instead of focusing on the proportion of rewards from penalties, and 3.4) The administrative element should use technology to assist with work.
