Abstract

This article attempts to provide a framework for applying the Aparihaniyadharma (condition of welfares) principles to the activities of the village headman. The study's findings showed that because the village chief was a worker who was close to the populace, represented all governmental entities, and had relationships with many individuals, his performance was crucial to the community. Buddhist principles that the village headman can use to effectively collaborate with agencies, organizations, and people include the Aparihaniyadharma principle, which can be applied to seven principles: regular meetings, readiness to organize activities, laws and regulations, public consultations, participation of women, cultural preservation, and involvement of religious leaders.
