DRIVING NEW WORK STYLES BY USING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY: NEW CHALLENGES FOR PROVINCIAL EDUCATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article is an academic study focusing on the development of Provincial Education Offices in creating new approaches to drive work using digital technology to assist in the administration of organizations in the digital age. It covers the shift towards new work models driven by digital technology: the new challenges for Provincial Education Offices in the digital era.
Leadership in the digital age should be transformational, with a broad vision that recognizes the benefits of driving new work models with digital technology to ensure organizations stay up-to-date and modern. Digital technology should be used as a tool for work processes. This represents both a challenge and an opportunity for leaders, such as the Provincial Education Officers, to encourage staff within the Provincial Education Office to be lifelong learners. The aim is to prepare them comprehensively in every aspect of professional competency, equipping them with digital technology skills to produce work quickly, on time, and in line with the needs of service recipients. This will also enable them to adapt to the changing environment in the digital age effectively. The techniques for managing workflows within a digital organization, as defined by the Digital Government Development Agency (Public Organization) (DGA), include: 1) educational agencies under the Ministry of Education, 2) educational agencies outside the Ministry of Education, 3) schools under the Ministry of Education, 4) schools outside the Ministry of Education, and 5) other relevant government agencies in the province.
