The Relationship between Technological Leadership of School Administrators and Effectiveness of the Academic Administration in School under Chonburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

The objectives of this study were: 1) to study level of Technological Leadership of school administrators; 2) to study level of effectiveness of academic administration in schools; 3) to study relationship between the level of Technological Leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of academic administration in schools; and 4) to develop guidelines on Technological Leadership development for enhancement of academic administration effectiveness for school administrators and chief teachers for academic affairs. The research sample included 120 school administrators and chief teacher for academic affairs. The rating scale questionnaire and interview guide were applied for data collection. The quantitative data were analyzed to acquire Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The semi-structured interview data were analyzed by thematic analysis.
The research revealed that: 1) the overall as well as by items of the Technological Leadership of school administrators were at high level; 2) the effectiveness of academic administration was at high level both in overall and by items; 3) the Technological Leadership of school administrators had a positive correlation with the effectiveness of academic administration at .01 significant level; 4) the guidelines on Technological Leadership development for enhancement of academic administration effectiveness for school administrators and chief teachers for academic affairs should include alignment of technological-infused strategic plans with a shared vision, continuous improvement of learning community in schools, building up digital-age networks with partner institutions, supporting research on technology, encouraging usage of new technologies for learning, leading purposeful changes through appropriate utilization of various technologies, and being a role model in using technologies with social responsibility.
