The Development of Scientific Creativity with Learning Management Based on Constructionist Approach on the Nervous System of the Twelfth Grade Students
Keywords:
Scientific Creativity, Constructionism ApproachAbstract
This research aimed to develop scientific creativity with learning management based on constructionism approach on the nervous system and to study the learning management based on constructionism approach used for developing scientific creativity. The study sample consisted of the twelfth grade students in a total of 27. The researcher implemented 6 plans of learning management based on constructionism approach that focuses on creativity development and collected data by using scientific creativity measurement. The measurement was conducted before and after the learning management. The results were recorded after teaching in order to collect information of learning management approach. The data was analyzed by individual assessment to find out mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis. The research results indicated that the mean of after-class scientific creativity scores of the students were higher than pre-class scientific creativity scores in aspects of fluent thinking, flexible thinking and initiative. The learning management based on constructionism approach used for developing scientific creativity is an insertion into lesson contents. Activities emphasizing creativity that are in line with learning contents should be promoted. Moreover, all assignment should be new matters for students.
